Created nearly fifteen years ago, this painting marked my first step into the realism and abstract symbolism that still threads through my work today. Though raw and less refined than later pieces, it carries a bold seduction that commands attention. Two male figures are caught mid-act, their intimacy is pierced by an ominous transparent purple triangle — a symbol of queer identity - that simultaneously punctures and severs. The exposed vessel left behind speaks to absence rather than presence, desire entwined with emptiness. When passion is stripped of connection, does it ignite fulfillment — or reveal the void within?
